Progress does not stand still and today you can stay in touch with friends literally 24 hours a day. The developers have created many programs and applications that allow you to communicate or share files for free.

The messenger is designed for platforms such as Android, IOS and Windows. WhatsApp will only work if your phone is connected to the Internet. A smartphone owner who already knows and knows how to run any application on Android will sooner or later face an offer to install WhatsApp. This handy communication application can be downloaded completely free of charge, and the installation will take a couple of minutes. How to install "Vatsap" and use it - let's try to figure it out.

What is WhatsApp?

WhatsApp ("Vatsap", "Vatsap") is a messenger, that is, a program for instant messaging, audio, video recordings and photos. In addition, using the application, you can make voice and video calls - just press one button and wait for the interlocutor to answer.

Important: The main advantage of Vatsap over traditional communication methods is that it is free. Communication is carried out via the Internet - in a Wi-Fi network or using mobile traffic, so the user does not need to worry about the operator's tariffs and calculate how much more he can talk on the phone or send SMS.

Another advantage of "Vatsap" is its simplicity. To use the program, you do not need to find out and waste time on fine-tuning: WhatsApp is ready for the first call or text message immediately after installation, compatible with all types of networks and most smartphone models.

The owner of the smartphone also need not worry about security: WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption, and transmitted messages or files can only be read on the devices of the sender and recipient. The function works by default: to enable it, there is no need to be interested, and to download additional applications.

The WhatsApp interface is convenient and intuitive: there are no unnecessary options, and you can access any menu item in two or three clicks. The user can fully "understand" the program in half an hour; to further speed up this task, below are explanations of how to install and use Watsap.

How do I install WhatsApp?

You can install the application immediately on your phone without using a computer. WhatsApp is available for download on all official sites, in particular Google Play, but for a smartphone owner who does not have an account or does not want to use it, it will be easier to visit trusted third-party resources (for example ApkPure) - the program downloaded from there works exactly the same as "Original".

To install WhatsApp on your smartphone, you need:

  • Follow the apkpure.com link to the main page of the site and click on the magnifying glass icon located in the upper right corner.
  • Enter "WhatsApp" in the search bar, then click on the magnifying glass again or use the auto-substitutions offered by the online service. If you encounter problems with the search, it makes sense to turn off and turn on the Internet or re-run.

  • Select the top option in the list that opens: this is the official version, while the ones presented below are different, sometimes superior to the first modification.

  • Wait for the Watsap page to load and click on the Download button located immediately below the messenger logo. Although the site announces that there are several versions available for download, most users will only need to download and install the default one.

  • The download will start in a few seconds. If this did not happen, it will be enough to click on the link highlighted in blue on the next page.

  • Now the owner of the smartphone needs to give consent to download the program from a third-party source - these are the security requirements of Android.

  • When the apk file is downloaded, you should start the installation by clicking on it. In the "Permissions" window, the program will warn you that sending SMS may cost money. You should not be afraid of this: an ordinary user will not need paid WhatsApp options, and, accordingly, to use the messenger, you will not have to spend anything.

  • Having scrolled down the page to the end and familiarized yourself with the other requirements of the application, you can safely click on the "Install" button - now you just have to wait until the process is over.

  • If the installation of the program was interrupted, you should check if the installation of applications outside of Google Play is allowed on the phone. To do this, go to the "Security" section in "Settings", find the item "Install from unknown sources" there and enable it: check the box or move the slider.

  • When WhatsApp is finally installed, you can click on the "Finish" button and close the installer - or use the adjacent "Open" button and go straight to work with the application.

Before further actions, the owner of the phone is advised to check whether the Internet signal is good enough, find out his cell number and come up with a name under which other Vatsap users will see it.

How to use Vatsap?

Using WhatsApp, as mentioned, is easy. Any owner of a smartphone or tablet will be able to understand all the intricacies of the program; Below is a quick guide to getting started, messaging, and adding contacts.

After installing and running WhatsApp for the first time, you need to:

  • Wait until the welcome screen appears, if you wish, familiarize yourself with the terms of use and security policy of WhatsApp (the user will still not be able to make any adjustments) and click on the "Accept and continue" button.

  • In the next window, indicate your country, check the correctness of the code and enter the cell number to which you plan to register "Vatsap". It is impossible to use the program without being bound to the operator.

  • If a VPN is used on the device or the system fails, the owner of the phone should manually select his country by clicking on the pop-up list.

  • When the country is selected and the cell number is entered, you can use the "Next" button.

  • For a few seconds, WhatsApp will process a new request; you cannot leave the application at this time.

  • Now the user will be prompted to check the correctness of the entered number again. If a mistake was made, it can be changed; if everything is correct - click on the "OK" button.

  • A one-time registration code will be sent via SMS, after which Vatsap will automatically substitute a combination of numbers in the confirmation field.

  • If there was no message, you can request a re-sending of the code or order an automatically dropped call. Both functions can be used completely free of charge, but with small time intervals between requests.

  • If the SMS arrived, but the password from it was not substituted by "Vatsap", the user can do it independently by going to "Messages", finding there a notification from WhatsApp and copying a sequence of six digits.

  • Now you need to configure the profile. The owner of the phone must enter a name on the new page under which other contacts will see him.

  • And by clicking on the colored circle to the left of the name, choose a suitable avatar - take a picture or select any image from the gallery.

  • In the latter case, having found a picture he likes, the user can simply click on it, and then "adjust" to the standards of "Watsap".

  • The image can be cropped and rotated at any angle; After customizing the avatar, you can click on the "Finish" button.

  • When you have finished with the initial configuration of the profile, it remains to use the "Next" button located at the bottom of the page.

  • The first thing that the owner of the smartphone will see in the window that opens is a list of contacts already using WhatsApp: they are taken from the phone book and other data storages connected to the device.

  • You can complete the personalization by going to the "Status" tab and clicking on the circle with a pencil icon.

  • To start communicating with any of the available users, after returning to the main page, use the button with the scroll image.

  • In the list that opens, the owner of a smartphone, learning to use WhatsApp, needs to select any contact and click on it.

  • The chat will now open. To start chatting, you need to enter any text in the lower text field and use the already familiar round button with an arrow on the right.

  • First of all, the program will notify the user that all forwarded messages are protected by end-to-end encryption. This information will not appear again - until you delete the chat or start a new one. Until the message is delivered, it will be marked with a single gray checkmark; delivered but not read by two. As soon as the recipient enters the chat, the checkmarks under the text will turn bright blue.

  • By clicking on the paperclip located in the same text box, the owner of the phone will bring up a menu for sending files. The first type available for transfer is documents, that is, any data - from e-books to videos.

  • They can neither be edited nor previewed: you have to focus only on the name. You can select the desired file by simply clicking on it.

  • Now you need to use the "Send" button.

  • Sending images (item "Gallery") is almost the same as choosing an avatar: the owner of the phone will also be asked to find the desired picture in the folder and mark it by clicking.

  • Unlike documents, pictures you send can be labeled and slightly edited by cropping or overlaying text.

  • The "Camera" item allows you to use the built-in lens, photographing the views you like, adjusting the flash and switching from the "front" to the "rear" camera and vice versa. To take a picture, you just need to click on the circle in the center of the screen.

  • Taking a photo can be easier by selecting the rightmost icon in the text box.

  • When one or more items are marked, you should, as before, click on the round button with an arrow.

  • And check the boxes which numbers stored in contacts should be sent.

  • Forwarded data in the dialog window will be formatted as links; they can be used by both the recipient and the sender.

  • WhatsApp also allows the user to leave a voice message. To do this, press and hold the green button with the microphone icon.

  • Releasing the button, the owner of the smartphone will complete the recording - the message is ready to be sent.

  • Any of the already sent and even read messages can be deleted by highlighting the text, picture or entry with a long press and using the trash can icon at the top of the window.

  • The user can delete the message both at himself and at the recipient. Of course, if the latter has already read and saved the message, this action will have no effect.

  • Now it remains to confirm your decision - immediately after clicking the "OK" button, the selected part of the dialog will be deleted.

  • The owner of the smartphone can diversify the communication using emoticons and stickers. You can find them by clicking on the smiling face in the lower left corner of the dialogue window.

  • In the menu that opens, you can select emoticons, GIF images and stickers.

  • To send any of them to the interlocutor, just click on it once.

  • The traditional alternative to written communication is a telephone call. In "Vatsap" for this purpose, an Internet connection is used, and you can start a conversation by clicking on the tube image at the top of the window.

  • Further - confirm the action using the "Call" button.

  • The conversation can be interrupted at any time by pressing the red circle in the center of the screen.

  • The same applies to a video call - with the difference that the user can turn off not only the microphone, but also the camera during the dialogue - temporarily or permanently.

  • You can find the desired message by calling the "Search" menu in the upper right corner.

  • Pieces of text matching the query will be highlighted in yellow; it is easy to navigate between fragments by clicking on the up and down arrows next to the text field.

  • The interlocutor can be "muted" by calling the "No notifications" option in the same menu.

  • In the window that opens, select the time of silence and indicate whether messages should be displayed in the notification line.

  • If the dialogue has ceased to bring joy, the user has the opportunity to block the contact by entering the "More" subsection.

  • Here you can also complain about the interlocutor, delete the entire dialogue, or export it to a text file.

  • By choosing one of the options and confirming the action, the owner of the phone will forever get rid of the annoying or inadequate interlocutor.

  • If the person you want is not yet in your WhatsApp contact list, you can invite them by selecting the appropriate command from the pop-up menu.

  • The program allows you to send an invitation through other messengers, as well as by e-mail - the user needs to choose the appropriate option and write a few words of welcome.

  • In addition, any cell number can be added to the list of contacts using the "New contact" button in the same window.

  • Having entered the subscriber's data in the standard form of the phone book, the user will add the contact not only to "Vatsap", but also to the general storage.

  • You can find the interlocutor in the contact list using the button with the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner.

Now it remains to configure the program to avoid problems with its further use. It is better to do this immediately after mastering the basic functions of WhatsApp:

  • In the main window, call the pop-up menu by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner and select the "Settings" item.

  • In the "Account" section, the user can see the current phone number and, if necessary, "bind" another one.

  • To do this, you need to read the terms and conditions in the "Change number" subsection and click on the "Next" button.

  • Enter the old and new cell numbers in the upper and lower fields, respectively.

  • Now you need to choose whether to notify about the change of people from the contact list, and click on the "Finish" button.

  • The owner of the smartphone, not impressed by the functionality of WhatsApp, is not obliged to continue using it: you can simply delete the account by selecting the bottom item in the "Account" menu.

  • After confirming the action, you can safely delete the program - no one else can use the profile.

  • In the "Chats" section, it is necessary to configure the creation of backup copies of correspondence; otherwise, if the program or phone fails, some of the dialogs will be lost.

  • To save the data immediately, click on the green "Backup" button.

  • The process takes a few seconds; you do not need to exit the program until it completes.

  • The next step is to configure the backup frequency.

  • If desired, the owner of the phone can choose to create "archives" of correspondence daily, weekly, monthly or called by pressing a button.

  • In the same section, you will be able to export or delete all chats at once - with one click of a button and without entering the dialogs separately.

  • After mastering the program for Android, it does not hurt to connect the web version. To do this, you will have to call the pop-up menu in the main window again and find the address of the online service in the WhatsApp Web tab.

  • By entering the address in the browser line and without disconnecting the phone, the user will be able to go to the "Watsap" setting on the computer.

Features of using the web version of "Watsap"

To use the web version of "Vatsap" on a computer, you need:

  • Enter the web.whatsapp.com address in the browser bar and go to it. A one-time QR code generated by the system will appear in the window that opens; it will have to be scanned by pointing the phone camera - so the user will automatically log into his account.

  • The main window of "computer" WhatsApp differs little from the mobile one: the same list of recent contacts and access to a pop-up menu.

  • The only significant difference is that the "clip" for sending files is not at the bottom, but at the top. You can send messages by pressing the Enter key.

  • The user can log out of his account by calling the side menu and clicking on the button of the same name.

These instructions are enough to confidently use Vatsap; having devoted a few more free minutes to mastering the program, the owner of the smartphone will be able to understand all its intricacies.

Summing up

WhatsApp is a convenient and free messenger that allows you to exchange messages, pictures and audio recordings, make phone and video calls. When registering the program, you will need to "bind" your cell number, come up with a name and choose an avatar. WhatsApp is a fairly young but rather successful project, an analogue of Skype. The only difference is that Vatsap can be used on a phone, smartphone. WhatsApp was originally created as a messenger for mobile platforms.

Now you can install the application not only on mobile devices, but also on a PC or laptop. Whatsapp allows you to exchange text messages, images for free. In addition, you can go to voice or video communication.

Many beginners, before installing the messenger on their phone, want to know how to use it. I decided to give a little instruction on how to install and use Whatsapp on mobile devices.

Installation

The installation and activation of the application, depending on the mobile device, is slightly different.

For example, for apple gadgets, you need to do the following steps:

  1. Log in from your mobile device, to the Internet, to the AppStore.
  2. Find and download a messenger to your phone.
  3. Register.

And for owners of Android devices, you need to download WhatsApp in My Market or in the Google Play store.

Synchronization

After installation and registration, the application automatically syncs your contacts. After that, they will all be displayed in the Whatsapp messenger. In order to add the number to WhatsApp, save it in your address book.

It will simultaneously be reflected on the main page of the application, among other contacts.

Order of use

Open the messenger, find the desired contact. Click on it once. On the page that opens, select, at your discretion, the required action.

As I wrote above, you can:

  1. Click on the text field, type and send a text message.
  2. Attach a file to it by clicking on the corresponding icon. For example, a paper clip, a picture, and so on.
  3. If you are too lazy to write, press the microphone and speak. Then send a voice message.
  4. Open a chat for communication, add friends to it. This will allow you to simultaneously communicate with a group of people, and not with one person.

I would recommend using the messenger in the area of the Wi-Fi network. Especially if you have expensive mobile internet. Since although the application itself is free, the mobile operator may charge an additional fee for exceeding the traffic or if you are in roaming.

In the event that you have unlimited mobile Internet, you can safely use Vatsap without a Wi-Fi connection.

Outcomes

As you can see, using Vatsap on your phone is not at all difficult. I would say - convenient, easy, fast. If you need to be constantly in touch, and this happens often in business, then the Whatsapp application is exactly what you need.

I bring to your attention some more useful articles on working with Skype:

Greetings, friends. Do you feel how fast technology is advancing, how the world is moving forward on an exciting journey of discovery? We are participants in this process. We test new devices and programs, enjoy their efficiency, ergonomics, speed, or, conversely, delete the application if it does not work well, and buy a new gadget if the old one does not suit us.

In recent years, many instant messengers have appeared for pleasant and convenient communication, and each of them has its own characteristics, pros and cons. Today we will talk about WhatsApp, find out what it is and how to use it. While reading the article, you will be able to install it on your phone, create an account and experience the convenience of using this program.

Sometimes people confuse social networks and instant messengers or think that they are the same thing, because in both cases it is possible to exchange private messages, files and even make video calls. But in the social network, the functionality is much wider and it is designed mainly for publicity. We post photos, share posts and comments, and all our friends can see it.

The messenger (from the word “message”, “message”) is designed for more private communication, like an SMS on the phone. WhatsApp is just such a program.

Its main functions and capabilities:

  • sending text messages to any user of the application;
  • creation of voice and video messages of any duration;
  • making calls anywhere in the world;
  • sending photos and documents of any format;
  • organization of collective communication using text messages and video calls;
  • saving important information, images, documents and videos to the device memory.

The application works via the Internet, so with a modern phone and an installed messenger, you can always be in touch: at home, in the office or in the car.

Advantages over other applications and types of communication

It can be difficult to choose the most reliable and high-quality product among the many programs. For example, earlier they used ICQ for communication, then Skype, Viber, Telegram and others appeared. Each application has its own merits and demerits. Here's what sets WhatsApp apart from similar products and other forms of communication:

  1. All that is needed for communication is an Internet connection, which significantly saves money, because you can call or send a message anywhere: even to Japan, even to Portugal. If you call and write ordinary SMS there, you can go broke.
  2. The application works on various OS, so you can chat in WhatsApp on your Android, iOS phone with equal ease. Windows.
  3. Instant messaging.
  4. A small consumption of memory and Internet traffic, thanks to which we get a stable operation of the application, it does not hang and does not load for 2 - 3 minutes, as is the case with similar programs.
  5. Safe storage of personal data.
  6. The program constantly encrypts messages, so they can be read only on the device of the sender or recipient.
  7. Synchronization with contacts on your phone, so you don't have to add them manually. After installing the messenger, you can immediately communicate with your friends, colleagues and acquaintances who have it.
  8. You can install and use it on several devices at once, while all data is synchronized, that is, you can see all messages sent from your phone on your PC, and vice versa.

Those who created WhatsApp and continue to improve it have taken care of our convenience. All these features make this application one of the most popular in Russia and in the world.

How to install on your phone: step by step instructions

To use the program, you need to download it to your device from the store. If you have an Android smartphone, then go to the Play Store, if you have an iPhone, then to the App Store. Enter the name of the application to find it and click on the “Install” button.

Wait for the files to download and open WhatsApp.

Then you need to accept the terms of service and continue your acquaintance with the application. If you are interested, you can read the documentation, I usually do not have the patience for this.

After that, you need to enter your phone number, a confirmation code will be sent to it.

If this SIM card is now installed in your mobile device, then confirmation will happen automatically. If in another, then you will need to enter numbers in a special field.

After these simple steps, which are available even for beginners or, as they say, “for dummies”, you can start communicating in the messenger.

Quick Use Guide

The interface of the application is quite simple for everyone to understand easily, and in most cases no instruction is required. But we will still look at how to use its main features.

At the top of the screen, we see a horizontal menu with 3 tabs:

  • Chats,
  • Status,
  • Calls.

The first paragraph contains a list of interlocutors and text correspondence with each of them. To start a conversation with a new opponent, click on the green circle at the bottom right.

You can also create a group with colleagues, classmates or relatives, so that everyone can discuss news together, share useful and interesting information. To do this, click on the caption at the top of the screen “Start group chat” and add interlocutors. If you do not see such an option, click on the 3 dots in the right corner and select “New Group”. After adding members, you can start group communication.

In the chat, you can:

  • write text;
  • add smilies by clicking on the face in the left corner;
  • attach files using a paper clip icon;
  • add photos by tapping on the camera image;
  • create audio messages using the microphone icon.

In the "Status" tab, you can add a video or photo from the gallery, or by filming it with a camera in real time, as well as write any text. It helps your interlocutors find out if you are busy or ready to chat, what's new with you, what mood you are in.

In the “Calls” menu item, you will see who and when you communicated via WhatsApp, and you can also start a new conversation by clicking on the green circle with the handset image.

To find the person you need, open a chat or view the time of the last negotiations, tap on the magnifying glass icon at the top of the screen.

Settings

You can change some settings and adapt the interface and capabilities of the application to suit your tastes and needs. To do this, click on the 3 dots in the upper corner and in the drop-down list, tap on the word “Settings”.

Here we see quite a few points: from the appearance of the account to the settings for protection against intruders. Let's start with the most enjoyable and fun part - profile pictures.

When you first start using WhatsApp, other people will see a white figure on a gray background next to your name in the contact list.

If you want friends and colleagues to see your beautiful photo instead of this picture, click on your name in the settings. Then tap on the gray circle with a human figure and choose how to set the photo. You can take an already finished picture or take it right now.

You can also change the signature that your friends see in their contact list next to the avatar. There is a default text, but you can write your own.

In the settings, you can also:

  • adjust the visibility of your data to other users, starting from the time of the last visit and ending with the status;
  • set additional verification when logging into your account;
  • change the phone number while saving all data and contacts;
  • delete profile;
  • set wallpaper in chats;
  • delete all correspondence or, conversely, save it and export it;
  • change the sound of notifications;
  • contact support for help.

You don't need all the settings now, but I advise you to get acquainted with the program settings in order to understand in the future how to quickly implement some task. You will find some more useful functions in the video.
