What can we say, this model was an ugly duckling - silvery plastic inserts, a curved screen with beveled corners, a kind of keyboard. The new model looks much more solid. received the so-called male design: black (the insert goes only along the side edge), clear straight lines, a flat screen. Looks good at the level of more expensive push-button telephones... The body materials, however, have not changed: - this is the kingdom of multi-textured plastic (only a couple of metal stripes can be seen on the keyboard), but this is normal for a budget phone.

Compared to its predecessor, it has grown in size. Not very much, but still. The height has increased by 6 mm, and the width - by 3.1 mm. But in thickness, it decreased by 0.95 mm. The last parameter seems to be ridiculously small, however, it corrected the imbalance in size, which was y. He seemed somewhat overweight, but the new model is no longer there. Taken together, it looks slim and harmonious. Considering the size of the battery it was necessary to hide in the bowels of the case for the engineers, we can say that they coped with the task by five points. A slight increase in dimensions does not affect the operation.

The increase in size required not only a more capacious battery, but also new screen which has grown from 2 to 2.4 inches. This made working with the phone more convenient, however, the screen itself, of course, cannot be attributed to the top ones. It has decent brightness (although it still fades in the sun) and good colors, but the resolution is not very high, and the viewing angles, especially vertically, are ridiculously small. For a budget phone, this is a normal screen, but no more.

The package bundle seems to have remained the same, but received a number of features. The charger, as before, is assembled and consists of an adapter and a cord. But if the connector had a Mini-USB, then it was already Micro-USB. This is hardly important, both formats are widespread enough to pick up the right cable if something happens. The adapter has also changed, but here the replacement is forced - the new adapter is designed to work with a higher current, otherwise the enlarged battery would charge forever.

The headset also did not disappear from the budget phone package (which is nice and even a little surprising in itself). Moreover, instead of the monophonic misunderstanding with one earphone, which was attached to, a decent stereo version appeared, in which you can comfortably talk and listen to music.

Amused by the presence in the set of a card of the famous store "Liters" for five free books. Apparently, the manufacturer has a contract with the store and they put similar promotional materials in all their products. In the case of this, it looks pretty comical. On the card itself it is written that "the Liters application is already installed on your phone and through it you can download free books." Naturally, there is no application in the phone, and there is no “Applications” section at all. Moreover, no reader can be installed in principle. Most likely, this is a universal card; it was included in the box with this model for the company. So the card, although it looks nice, does not bring any real bonuses - you cannot use it on another phone or tablet.

The first thing that attracts attention is the changed keyboard. If the keys were combined by three into blocks of a very fancy shape, then they are made with the usual 3x3 matrix. It was not very convenient to type SMS on the first generation phone. Although the keyboard was cut horizontally, it allowed you to move from key to key by touch, but the movement of the buttons was such that, until you looked at the screen, it was not clear how many times you pressed the key. It's a little harder to move to the adjacent buttons by touch, but the keys themselves have become much more comfortable. They have a long soft stroke and a clear actuation point. So typing SMS has become much more pleasant.

Also pleased with the change in the design of the five-way pseudo-navigation over the numeric keypad. It had a very peculiar design with an overhanging key in the middle. The item looks stylish and is more functional. By the way, each side of the pseudonavipad in desktop mode activates some function. The "up" button calls the audio player, "right" - FM-radio, "down" - the phone book, and "right" - allows you to write an SMS. Conveniently, all buttons are customizable, so you can assign a function of your choice to each side. The "green" and "red" buttons (by the way, they are not color coded on the phone), as well as two function keys have changed only the shape, but are responsible for the same functions.

There are only three connectors on the huge side panel of the phone. On the right side is Micro-USB, which is used to charge the phone and connect to a computer. At the bottom is a standard USB that can charge other devices, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. This fact is very positive. It was proposed to output the sound using the same Mini-USB, which was used for charging and connecting to a computer. We have already recalled the creepy "one-ear" headset of the previous model. The problem was aggravated by the fact that replacing it with something else was problematic: finding a headset with a Mini-USB connector for sale is still a challenge. In principle, there is no such problem. Even if you don't like the stock headset, you can find a replacement in any store. True, on the Internet the author of this material met the opinion that although this connector is of a standard size, but of some unusual polarity and other headsets will not work with it. We did not have another 3.5 mm headset at the time of the test, but ordinary headphones worked without problems, so, most likely, everything will be fine with compatibility.

We cannot but pay attention to another seemingly small fact that caused a serious dispute on the user forum. At the top of the model, there was a small flashlight that was turned on and off by holding the central pseudo-navigation button. For some reason they removed it. The debate is whether this is considered a minus. On the one hand, it's good when you have a device in your pocket that can somehow shine in the dark, on the other hand, even during the test, we noticed that the flashlight is single-LED and gives very little light. If you just pull the phone out in your hand and turn on the backlight of the screen, then the light turned out no less, so we would not regret the disappearance of the flashlight, especially since the screen became larger and brighter, and in which case you can use its backlight.

When it came out two years ago, it was a cool feature for a budget phone, but today other inexpensive models already have three SIMs, so you won't surprise anyone with two. Alas, the work with two SIM cards remained consistent. That is, if you talk one at a time, the other is completely blocked at this time. This is not very convenient, but it is a common phenomenon for state employees.

Sims, according to tradition, are located behind the battery, and in order to remove them, the phone must be turned off. Next to the SIM is a slot for microSD cards... The same was in y, but its presence in it was doubtful. It is clear that the consumption of the new model has also increased slightly (at least because of the larger screen), but the autonomy characteristics are even more impressive. Now the manufacturer claims the talk time is 40 hours, and the standby time is 100 days. How long is it enough in real use? With moderate active use, the phone will need to be charged once every 4-5 weeks. The author read a very revealing joke on the form of telephone users. One of the owners complained that he was constantly losing power. Still, it is required once a month, and you just have time to forget where you put it last time.

I can't help but allow myself a remark. This review was being written at the time it was announced. new iPhone 6. Its top-end and most expensive version has a battery with a volume of ... about 2900 mAh, which caused a sensation among users - what, such a stand-alone smartphone.
