While Apple churned out the same iPhones from 2014 to 2017, and Samsung made a leap with the release of the Galaxy S6, and then simply released smartphones "based on" and pulled the display onto the case in different ways, LG rushed from one concept to another, and then a third. The LG G3 claimed record-breaking performance (the world's first smartphone with a Quad HD display and laser autofocus), but it didn't work.
