The Bose SoundLink Mini II speaker system is an updated version of the popular Bose portable Bluetooth speaker. The SoundLink Mini II adds hands-free calling, lasts longer, sounds better, and is still Bose's smallest portable system.

Rich rich sound

High sound quality is an undeniable advantage of the Bose SoundLink Mini II. This small speaker system, which fits in the palm of your hand, is the best proof of the phrase “looks can be deceiving”: you simply don’t expect such deep low frequencies and rich sound from it.

Compared to the previous model, SoundLink Mini II sounds brighter and richer. The manufacturer has seriously worked on the sound: high frequencies are enhanced, vocals have become more noticeable and powerful, and the difference is impossible not to notice.

Add to all this amazing detail and volume, and it becomes clear why experts unanimously call the Bose SoundLink Mini II the best portable speakers on the market.

Convenient connection

The Bose SoundLink Mini II speaker system automatically connects via Bluetooth to Apple and Android devices, as well as PCs and laptops. And to make it even easier for you to use the speaker, the manufacturer has added voice prompts in Russian, so connecting has become a very simple task.

New feature: now SoundLink Mini II can be simultaneously connected to two devices at once: convenient if two owners of gadgets plan to use the speaker at once.

The range of the Bose SoundLink Mini II wireless connection is about 9 meters. The speaker remembers up to 8 devices it has ever been connected to.

The SoundLink Mini II also includes an auxiliary audio input in case you want to connect the speaker to an MP3 player or portable DVD or CD player.

Stylish design

The Bose SoundLink Mini II portable speaker is designed in a simple, minimalist style. The unibody aluminum body with smooth lines is both durable and beautiful. On the top panel there are power and volume buttons, as well as a multifunction key, with which you can, for example, switch tracks.

The LED battery indicator will show you how long the sound will last or if it's time to recharge your speaker. To check the charge, press and hold the power button, then the indicator will turn on. If it's green, there's more than 70% charge remaining, and if the light is red, plug in the Bose SoundLink Mini II. The battery lasts for 10 hours of operation.

You can buy Bose Soundlink Mini II in two colors: black and silver.

Despite the popularity of the second version of the bestseller among portable acoustics, we have not yet encountered a fake of this Bluetooth acoustics. Until recently.

And sadly, the fake was purchased in a store where it had recently been purchased with approximately the same sad story. Shop http://bose-b****que.ru with phone number 8 925 915**26.

We were able to study the fake and compare it with the original.

There are no obvious differences on the reverse side. In general, it is worth noting that the quality of this fake is much better, especially compared to the previous fake that we held in our hands - Bose SoundLink Color. If you don’t know all the nuances, you can get confused.

The components of the fake and the original are similar. Even the fake USB cable comes with the Bose brand logo. But! The main difference is the charger: the fake has a charger with a folding plug for American sockets without the ability to install an adapter (pictured on the left), while the original has a base with connectors for installing adapters, incl. for Russian sockets, the corresponding adapter is included.

Upon closer inspection, the fake logo is painted on, which sticks out slightly above the grill and glares strongly in the light. Also, the fake speakers are located quite close to the grill and are much more visible through it.

The main obvious difference! On the original, the rubber seal is flush with the edge of the case, while on the fake (on the left) it protrudes noticeably along the entire perimeter of the case.

Under the rubber base, the fake does not have any markings on the battery (bottom), while the original has everything in place. Important! The serial number on the original battery should not match the serial number of the speaker, it is the serial number of the battery.

An extremely interesting speaker for those who need a compact wireless device, the Bose SoundLink III is capable of 14 hours of battery life, and that's not all its distinguishing features.

Design, construction

Bose is now very actively developing the New media direction; let me remind you, these are all speaker systems that can work with smartphones, tablets, players, and laptops. The concept is used in a variety of companies and in relation to a variety of devices, from a small speaker to an expensive stationary multimedia processor with a Lightning cradle. Bose currently has ultra-portable speaker systems (SoundLink Mini), portable (Bose SoundLink III) acoustics and classic systems, you can call them compact (SoundDock, both with a cradle, and wireless). I really like all these devices; the company creates unique things - this applies both to some functions, characteristics, and price-quality ratio. It's hard to find a competitor, that's the point. That is why the already mentioned Bose SoundLink Mini will be a real hit for a long time, regardless of what the competitors do. Everything is clear with it, a small device with excellent sound quality, excellent operating time, the design and materials are also wonderful. But the Bose SoundLink II, although it was good, raised certain questions; it weighed more than a kilogram, and you couldn’t take it with you on a trip. The dimensions are considerable, the sound quality is excellent for such a system, but what use case can you imagine?

I'm used to watching people, asking about what they do with their equipment. A friend has a Bose SoundLink II, according to him, this is the main speaker system at home, he lives alone in the studio, he doesn’t need anything else. To my question why I bought such a speaker (I mean, I could have bought something big), there was a simple answer - it takes up little space, but is loud. And you can take it with you, easily move it to the bathroom, take it out of town, to friends, anywhere.

In my opinion, quite reasonable. If you have a large apartment or house, you love good sound and have money for your hobby, then you can improve everything related to audio ad infinitum. If you sometimes listen to music, the music center has long been in the trash, you need something compact and with good sound quality, then this is where the Bose SoundLink III appears on the scene. Let's see why this particular gadget.

Let me start by saying that the Bose SoundLink III no longer has a leather cover. Only metal and plastic. Moreover, there is a lot of metal, perforated overlays on the front and back, the usual Bose gray color, dark gray plastic parts, and white edging. The dimensions of the device are 13.15 x 25.6 x 4.8 cm, weight – 1.37 kg. Like MacBook Air. On the top there is an insert made of a material resembling rubber, there are control buttons, the design of this element resembles a branded remote control. On the front there is the company logo, on the back there are 3.5 mm connectors, a service microUSB (no need to insert anything there), a connector for connecting the power supply. The power supply is massive, the plugs are replaceable. I still don’t understand what kind of connector (or what is it?) on the bottom.

If you are haunted by the thought that the previous generation speaker had a leather cover, but there is nothing here, then accessories will come to the rescue. Perhaps, it is Bose that now sells the most add-ons for its speakers compared to other companies - before there were bags, chargers for the car, but since the release of SoundLink Mini, consumers can buy cases of different types. And for Bose SoundLink III they are also available, I don’t know if it’s leather or not, but they look great, each costs about $35.

Another accessory is a car charger, keep this in mind if you plan to take the speaker outdoors.

There are indicators on the case that will tell you the battery charge; to pair, you need to press and hold the Bluetooth button on the top until the indicator turns blue. There’s a power button right there, by the way, the speaker is ready for use faster than the previous generation model, I didn’t take any measurements, subjective impressions. There are buttons for changing the volume or muting the sound (Mute), everything is typical.

Just in case, let me remind you that you can connect any devices to the speaker via Bluetooth or using an audio cable.

Nutrition

The stated operating time is (attention!) 14 hours. Yes, yes, this large speaker can delight you with music most of the day. It takes about two and a half hours to fully charge, and then you can take it with you on a picnic again. I would like to remind you that in this class a rare device is capable of working for ten hours, but here it is fourteen, an excellent result.

The instructions say that the battery can be replaced at a service center, this is also good news, the speaker will serve you for many years, and when the indicator does not show anything, just replace the battery. By the way, this also applies to many other Bose accessories; old QC-3s can be quickly put in order if you replace the cable and ear pads, don’t forget about it.

Sound

You will laugh, but the speaker needs to be warmed up; after a week of use, the sound changes significantly for the better, especially for low frequencies. Don't be surprised if the sample in the store sounds better than the Bose SoundLink III you just bought, this is quite normal - turn it on more often at first and you will notice the changes yourself.

There are four speakers and two passive radiators inside; you will feel the work of the latter especially well. As far as I understand, compared to the Bose SoundLink II, the sound has changed, the highs and lows are enhanced, but the middle falls out of focus. Which makes the device ideal for electronic music and not very suitable for classical music lovers (this is just one example). During testing, I mainly listened to this kind of music; the speaker is ideal for such tasks.

The volume reserve is large; for those who live in a studio (up to one hundred meters), this is an excellent option. You can create the desired musical atmosphere in any corner, or sound the entire apartment; there is enough power. Enough is enough, I had the opportunity to check.

I used the speaker with an iPhone 5S and an iPad Air, the results were good in both cases, there were no problems with the connection. The most interesting thing is that there are no problems with sound typical for Bluetooth connections.

conclusions

In retail, the device costs about 16,000 rubles; let me remind you that the Bose SoundDock Series III stationary speaker with a Lightning cradle costs about 11,500 rubles. But the beauty of the Bose SoundLink III is that this brick can be easily moved to any place in the apartment and taken with you. Naturally, in terms of sound quality, the “sounddoc” seems to me to be a more universal solution, but for many, the deciding factor will be mobility and size. For electronic music, the Bose SoundLink III is a godsend. And, of course, the operating time is amazing, 14 hours. The advantages also include the design, materials, turn-on speed, and the ability to connect any equipment via Bluetooth or using an audio cable.

In the coming days, the speakers will be disassembled to compare internal components. Stay tuned!

If you skimp on matches, you will miss out on many joys in life. The real version of the column is from Bose became the discovery of the year for our entire editorial team, and so we decided to find out what lovers of freebies will lose when buying a “clone” from the Middle Kingdom. We have at our disposal Chinese "copy" SoundLink Mini , widely distributed in stores across the country.

Its customers lose absolutely everything. How not to become one of them?

She's worth it

Bose SoundLink Mini to the depths of the sound quality - an unusual advantage for such portable acoustics. Hidden within the small speaker is a complex driver system that delivers not only vibrant highs, but also detailed mids and, most importantly, astounding bass with a powerful punch and chilling depth of low frequencies. This thing needs to be heard live, and you won’t believe your ears.

They say that today the talents of Chinese craftsmen have grown significantly along with the quality of their crafts. Not true. Comparing the original and fake SoundLink Mini, we did not find anything that would justify the purchase of a cheap “clone”. Possession of this item is a real stigma of shame, like the “leftists” Beats around your neck or an iPhone running Android OS in your pocket.

Brand of shame

In the original, the row of buttons practically does not protrude above the body.

In fact, the manufacturer can be proud that his speaker is so rabidly copied in China. Glory for amazing sound Bose SoundLink Mini spreads through word of mouth very quickly, instantly turning passers-by into potential buyers after listening to any favorite track. Therefore, Uncle Liao and his faithful slaves approached the matter with unusual care. For an outsider, a “clone” repeats the original in everything, even imitating heavy weight metal case. But in the present SoundLink Mini this is due to the unique acoustic design.

It looks like they simply invested in the “clone” brick.

The thirst to buy an expensive item for pennies has ruined tens of millions of wallets. Most often, the main argument of “freeloaders” in favor of buying a “clone” is the visual similarity two devices. In this case, a fake is distinguished by a lot of small details, and knowing them, you will never buy it by mistake.

I warn you right away: you shouldn’t rely on barcodes, boxes, printing, and so on: these things are the easiest to repeat. At the slightest suspicion, ask to open the film on the package and look at the column. But one thing you can be sure of is that real Bose SoundLink Minis are only available in natural silver. If you see a black, red or even golden column, this is 100% “leftist”.

With great care, the guys approached the copying of the markings hidden under the silicone stand SoundLink Mini. In the absence of other factors, it is almost impossible to distinguish a “fake” from a real device.

But pay attention: Chinese marriage makers are very shy about their country and therefore indicate on their creations that they say they were partially made in Korea. In no case you can't trust the serial number: it is simply copied from a real column, and it will always pass verification on the official website.

It's a fake copy

The original is honestly made in China:

The original, if anything.

Let's not deny the possibility: in others, also real SoundLink Mini Korea may appear as a manufacturing country for battery cells (Cells). If you get confused, look at the type of bolts. In the original there are hexagons, and in the “Chinese” - ordinary crosses. Apparently they don't want to bother with assembly.

Another important difference by which you can unmistakably distinguish the original is the contact group for charging on the bottom panel of the acoustics. The real SoundLink Mini has a gold-plated contact group with four connectors, while the fake one has a black cable connector.

The bolts are hidden behind a rubber cover, and the contact group is immediately visible upon visual inspection. This may be especially important for those who buy a speaker on the secondary market and without packaging (which can also be used to distinguish the original from a fake). And several such “lucky” people come to us a month, to whom the “original” Bose was sold on the subway or in an underpass.

– SPL.RU

Both speakers come with a charging stand, but the design of the left speaker is quite different. It does not have rubberized stripes on the bottom, and instead of cut-out letters there is a regular sticker with white text. There are other differences - for example, a real dock has an icon above the connector where the charger cable is connected. But all these moments need to be looked for, knowing in advance. Most likely, during a real inspection you will spot the fake even earlier.

See the column on the right? This is what your karma looks like when you leave the store with fake ones SoundLink Mini.

The editors have seen a lot of outright “Chinese” stuff, but this is the first time we’ve seen this. No one had opened both speakers before us, and they were completely packed. Fake SoundLink Mini covered with a mind-boggling amount of strange stains - either from glue or something else. Use your imagination. I cannot say that all “left” columns will have such traces. But the fact is clear. And rightly so for those who thought that they were the smartest and would deceive the system with such a purchase.

The front side was the best for the Chinese, but they carefully saved on it until the whole structure began to crumble. The original speaker has a very dense mesh on the front and the most even rubber edging around the edges of the metal case. In the Chinese version, the edging was clearly glued with the foot. Moreover dirty. And blindly.

New spots, swollen rubber with protruding edges, roughly hewn ribs and the real color of the metal peeking through them. Basement craftsmen know how to repeat other people's ideas, but they are not physically and technically capable of flawlessly implementing them. Still ready to put up with the shameful design? Okay, look here:

It is clear that the margin on Bose “clones” is much lower, and factory workers (if this was done there at all) receive even less money than those who are engaged in assembling the original acoustics. But only a completely blind person could miss such an obvious problem with insulation. Or doesn’t care about life.

He's probably right. What difference does it make if the same people buy similar things? Doesn't matter will eat– the main thing is that it is cheap and looks like an “expensive thing”. But it will only get worse.

Only echo

Truly, the main advantage of this SoundLink Mini– incomparable sound with amazing detail of all frequencies, including powerful bass. In its size, this little one is the undoubted leader. Compared to other ultra-portable speakers, the work of this one can be recognized by ear through the walls of two rooms, by feeling the shaking of the chair with the buttocks. All this is possible solely thanks to the incredible talent of Bose engineers, who have packed maximum technology and experience into every cubic centimeter of the device.

Original Bose SoundLink Mini sounds like a king on parade in the capital. And the fake is from among the dirty peasants on the outskirts, weaving the plow and the burden of centuries of slavery. It's simple there is nothing what the real model is so famous for. There are no bright and clean high frequencies: the personal presence of the vocalist, biting picks on the strings of the guitar, the ringing purity and energy of digital instruments. Forget about detailed, multifaceted mids: the piano no longer plays next to you, heavy metal no longer strikes with menacing chords, and traditional instruments simply drown in a cacophony of whimpers and crunches.

And most importantly: the “clone” does not have the signature, deep and dynamic super-bass, without which Bose SoundLink Mini simply unthinkable. But let’s be honest: there are no low frequencies here at all. Only shameful claps. Well, they definitely put a brick inside. How else can you explain the senselessly high weight of a fake?

Only the original!

Moral of this story. Never don't be fooled by "copies", “clones”, “analogues” and other rubbish, abundantly leaked to the population straight from Chinese basements. There is only one best portable speaker in the world - a real one. Bose SoundLink Mini. Everything else must be forgotten, like a bad dream. Fortunately, with the original it’s very simple: just turn on your favorite track and enjoy, amazed at the sound quality.

Powerful sound in the palm of your hand

Whatever you do - on a walk or a bike ride, while preparing dinner, during a picnic with friends in nature - you need music. We have developed a mini-system that, thanks to its miniature size, will always be with you. Despite its miniature size, the SoundLink Micro delivers unexpectedly powerful sound. The case is made of durable material, is protected from moisture and is equipped with a silicone strap that securely fastens the system to clothing or equipment. You'll want to carry such a convenient system with excellent sound quality with you everywhere.

Battery allows you to listen to music for up to 6 hours on a single charge. Other systems may last a little longer, but don't have the same powerful, bass-rich sound as the SoundLink Micro.

Hands-free mode– the ability to communicate with a friend on the phone with the whole group at once. Take a call on SoundLink Micro and everyone on the call will be heard thanks to the system's clear sound.

Waterproof housing. Many mini-systems appear to be waterproof. The SoundLink Micro is splash-proof not only on the outside, but also on the inside, where we used silicone to coat moisture-sensitive components such as electrical circuitry. As a result, SoundLink Micro's water resistance rating meets or exceeds IPX7.

High technology in a miniature package

Every part of the SoundLink Micro - from the specially designed driver to the silicone passive low-frequency diaphragm - addresses the main goal: creating more powerful and better sound than other mini systems of the same size. For a mini system to sound perfect, it needs to be designed from the very beginning.

Always with you - wherever you go

SoundLink Micro is your companion at home and on the go. The rugged housing is equipped with an exceptionally strong, abrasion-resistant silicone strap that securely secures the system to surrounding objects, clothing or equipment.

Moisture protection – inside and outside

By waterproof we mean that the system should work not only after the first exposure to a humid environment. To avoid disruption of functionality and create stable protection against moisture, we have developed several fundamentally new technological solutions, using the IPX7 protection standard as a guide. Tests in various conditions allowed us to create a system that works in extreme conditions - for example, after an accidental fall into a swimming pool. Or even into sea water. Dropped? Don't worry - just remove the SoundLink Micro from the water, turn it on - and your favorite music is back with you!

Material matters

The things you are inseparable from are daily exposed to mechanical stress, testing the strength of the body. Knowing this, we make the SoundLink Micro case from durable plastic with a flexible silicone coating. The design allows the number of seams to be reduced to a minimum and the surface to be resistant to scratches and cracks.

Bose Connect app

Control your SoundLink Micro with the Bose Connect app. By connecting a second Bluetooth device, you can quickly and conveniently switch between them. When more powerful sound is required, two SoundLInk Micro systems can be connected in party mode to sound simultaneously. A stereo connection mode is possible, when two SoundLink Micros work as the left and right channels of a stereo system.
