The inconvenience for the user does not cause it, and it looks unusual - somehow "indispensable."

Everything else here is only metal and glass, so long to argue about whether a new smartphone looks, it is expensive or cheaply. Materials themselves are premium, therefore NTS ONE looks exactly so that in any minute is ready to correspond to any surrounding environment. In other words, HTC One is equally good to look and with an expensive costume, and in the hands of a teenager.

The smartphone is sufficiently heavy (143 g), which is logical, given the abundance of the metal, from which the case is calculated. If we talk about the dimensions, then at the expense of the narrow faces and the showing back the phone is quite conveniently located in the hand. But it does not mean at all that I am ready to take a metal as the best of materials for the production of smartphones. Many users, by the way, more like that "warm", light and rough plastic, especially since it is still strong enough. And in terms of the convenience of holding in the fingers, the matte coating Soft-Touch is probably more practical than smooth and sometimes slippery metal. Such and from the hand can slip out (especially considering the mass), and the heating is more susceptible than plastic. Yes, of course, the metal better takes the heat from the processor filling than plastic, we all know it, but in terms of comfort it is difficult to argue that it is very pleasant to take a cold metal in your hand, which after a few minutes work suddenly hesitated to hot. Plastic in this sense simply behaves quieter, only and everything. But in any case, a neat appearance and a small thickness allow you to talk about HTC One as a universal smartphone that is suitable equally for both male and female hands.

And of course, such a strong case will be better to resist various external influences than plastic. Although it is worth noting at this place that the Specialists of one popular foreign edition say that the smartphone argue that the smartphone is practically not suitable for repairs, because it does not understand. That is, if the speaker stuck or cracked the glass - it is probably to replace these elements will be very problematic. However, this is only the unofficial opinion of the part of journalists.

Now consider the details and individual elements of the NTS ONE case. In the back, in addition to said grooves, there is a digital camera window and a photo of the photo flashlight is all standard. But on this logic ends. All other controls of NTS ONE are so unusual and inconvenient, which remains only a divide. First, this ill-fated power and lock key. She was why they were not located on her side, and from above - wherever no finger would get. And the fact that this combination button is still an IR transmitter, it does not justify it. And who, actually, forced to cut the IR port in the power button? In the upper end and without it, there would be enough space to arrange an IR transmitter. He here, by the way, is needed to control various techniques, such as a TV or a television console - the appropriate software is already installed in the smartphone.

Secondly, this key, and the other that adjusts the volume - both are embedded with the plane of the case. They do not perform absolutely out of it, and therefore, it is not possible to grope them blindly. Manipulate such buttons is extremely uncomfortable, all the time you have to watch where you click, and it is impossible to get used to it. As already mentioned, these buttons are indistinguishable from the rest of the surface.

And the unusual touchpad of control buttons under the screen is crossed and crowns. During that time, mankind has created smartphones with touch screens, it has time, it would seem, to sort out all possible options for performing a block of buttons under the screen. But the developers from NTS managed and this time to change everything. From the standard set, the button called the menu is simply "drank. In her place now the NTS logo is now - right in the middle of the panel, and on the sides of it - only back and home, the menu buttons are not at all. There could not be something about saving the place: unlike the entire virtual block of the buttons, swinging in some smartphones on the screen, here the strip under the screen still occupies the place, albeit with three, but with two buttons. A rather strange decision, and what it is justified - it is not entirely clear. Accordingly, the list of recent open applications is intuitively to find now also not easy: it is called here on a double touch button home.

Finishing the theme of the buttons, it is worth noting that the menu that pops up for a long-term pressure of the power key, in addition to the standard shutdown functions, reboot and transition to the flight mode is complemented by another item - a call to the children's regime. In this mode, you can safely give a smartphone to play your children, without fear for access to important features of the phone, which are blocked for them.

It remains to add that two options for NTS ONE with different colors are available on the market: Glacial Silver (gray metallic with the romantic name "Silver Glacier"), as in our review, and Stealth Black ("invisible black") - in the photo above. At the black option, all the materials are the same, only the metal here is painted here, and plastic, which are filled with all the shackles and sidewalls - under the color of the case: in the gray version it is white, and in the black phone it is black. The rest of the smartphones are identical. Both options are not too marked, since there are no glossy surfaces. True, on the coating of black HTC One fingerprints, dirt, dust and fat are more noticeable than gray - it should be taken into account by pedantic cleanliness when choosing.

Screen

The HTC One has a very high-quality touchscreen display, called the creators of S-LCD 3. In the figures, the physical parameters of the screen of the novelty look like this: dimensions - 58 × 103 mm, diagonal - 119 mm (4.7 inches), resolution - Full HD 1080p ( 1920 × 1080 Points), PPI pixel density is 469 dpi, which is now a record indicator in the smartphone market. The HTC One display has both manual and automatic brightness adjustment, which is based on the operation of the lighting sensor. Multitach technology allows you to simultaneously process up to ten touches, which is confirmed by tests. It is curious that here this feature should be manually included in the settings, otherwise the screen will recognize only two simultaneous touch - such a strange know-how has already been encountered in the NTS devices before. There is also an approximation sensor here, which blocks the screen when applying for a smartphone to the ear.

A detailed examination of the display using measuring instruments was conducted by the editor of the "Monitors" and "Projectors and TV" section Alexey Kudryavtsev. We present his expert opinion on the HTC One screen.

The smartphone screen is covered with a glass plate with a mirror-smooth surface and, judging by the reflection of bright light sources in it, has an anti-glare filter. On the outer surface of the screen, there is a special and fairly effective oleophobic (grease-repellent) coating, so the traces of the fingers appear not as fast as in the case of conventional glass, but are easier to be easier.

When manually controlled, its maximum value was about 450 kD / m², and the minimum is 11 kD / m². The maximum value is quite high, so with a bright daylight, the readability of the screen to some extent will be saved. In complete darkness, brightness can be reduced to a comfortable level. There is automatic brightness adjustment over the light sensor (it is located in the upper left corner of the front panel): In full dark, the automatic brightness adjustment function reduces the brightness of up to 18 cd / m² (not very dark), in conditions lit by artificial offices, it sets 81 kD / m² (acceptable), in a very bright environment increases to the maximum 450-460 kD / m² (as it should be). In automatic mode, when changing external light conditions, the screen brightness is rising, and decreases. There is no flickering.

The screen has good viewing angles without inverting the shades and without a significant shift of colors, even at large viewing deviations from perpendicular to the screen. The black field when the diagonal deviation is deviated quite a bit and, depending on the direction of the deviation, acquires a purple shade or remains almost neutrally gray. With perpendicular look, the uniform of the black field is very good. The response time when switching a black-white-black is 21 ms (12 ms incl. + 9 ms off.). The transition between halftons is 25% and 75% (according to the numerical color value) and back in sum occupies 33 ms. The contrast is good - about 950: 1. The gamma curve built according to 32 points did not reveal in neither lights, nor in the shadows, and the indicator of the approximating power function is 2.23, which is close to the standard value 2.2, while the real gamma curve is slightly deviate from the power dependence:

Therefore, visually colors on this screen have natural saturation. The spectra show that the matrix light filters to moderately mix the components to each other:

The balance of shades on the gray scale is good: the color temperature is though higher than 6500 K, but on the entire value of the part of the gray scale this parameter changes not very much, while the deviation from the spectrum of absolutely black body (Delta E) is less than 10, which is considered for the consumer device A good indicator. (Dark areas of the gray scale can not be considered, since there the balance of colors does not matter, and the measurement error of the color characteristics on the low brightness is large.)

As a result, we have a qualitative version of the screen on an IPS type matrix that deserves high marks.

Sound

In my sound, the HTC One smartphone is one of the best solutions on the market. Of all the smartphones tested, only OPPO Find 5 can be compared with HTC One in terms of the quality of the audio. HTC One speakers are located in the most unusual way - this is not tired to remind the creators in television advertising. Two front stereo speakers are built into the phone, and both of them are facing the face surface, and not the rear, like most of the smartphones. The device makes no overly loud, but very clean, smooth in the entire range, deep sound saturated with low frequencies. Holes of the speaker grids on the front surface cannot overlap the surface of the table, so nothing prevents the sound output (except, it is clear, the option when you put the smartphone "face down"). The sound here is additionally processed and improved using HTC BOOMSOUND and Beats Audio technologies.

The FM radio in the smartphone is available, but traditionally only works with the headphones connected that perform the role of the antenna. There is also a regular voice recorder used to create voice notes. Both applications should be signed in separate folders, where the icons of the appropriate application themes are thoughtfully assembled: radio in the multimedia folder, and the voice recorder in the tool folder. Built-in default features to record telephone conversations from HTC One, unfortunately, no.

Camera

HTC One is equipped with most modern smartphones, two digital cameras modules. The front camera, serving for video link, has a 2.1 megapixel sensor, an example of a snapshot in front of you. In principle, the quality of shooting for the front camera is not bad, you can even disassemble the text if you wish. The maximum resolution of the pictures obtained by the front chamber is 1920 × 1088 points.

For a 2 megapixel front camera, quite acceptable quality. In the center, the text is quite picky, but at the edges sharpness drops. The fragment with the barcode is already marked noticeably.

All the intrigue is enclosed in a new module of the main, rear smartphone camera: Here the developers have installed a module with a resolution of only 4 MP. Explaining such a low permission from modern standards, developers tirelessly repeat on their presentations words that the number of megapixels does not actually mean, and offer to look at the other characteristics of the new sensor. Which, by the way, make up the most surround section in the list of specifications on the manufacturer's brand site.

HTC Ultrapixel Camera:

Colorful epithets and large pixel sizes are not yet too helping: snapshots are not blocked and leave much to be desired. "For now" - because there is an opinion that something can improve with the release of new software firmware for HTC One. At least most of the fans of the HTC brand are now inclined to believe and wait. In the meantime, it is possible to evaluate the quality of the images obtained by clicking on the miniatures shown below. By default, the camera is set to shoot at the maximum resolution of 4 MP, while the pictures are obtained in size 2688 × 1520 with the aspect ratio of 16: 9.

Good detail for 4 megapions. Small distortion of geometry suggest that, perhaps, the lens has too wide angle. Pleasant color reproduction.

In the video settings there are four shooting modes: with a maximum Full HD-resolution of 1080p, with effects of diminished (60 frames per second) and slow survey, as well as Full HD video using HDR technology.

The ability to keep a video on a smartphone camera in a steady and slow motion, as well as apply when shooting video, HDR technology is now at the manufacturers of fashionable "chips". We met the same set of opportunities when testing Samsung Galaxy S4 and OPPO Find 5, as well as some other top smartphones. By the way, it is worth noting that the declined shooting in OPPO Find 5 is carried out at a speed of 120 frames per second, and in HTC One - only 60 frames per second. However, OPPO is achieved at the expense of the roller resolution reduced to 480p, and the HTC One has less and less, but the steady mode is implemented in the resolution of 720p. So all over it is clear that the struggle on this new front is just beginning to deploy. In any case, while both of these "unusual" modes are slow and steady - can only be applied when shooting in a reduced resolution, and not in Full HD, so that the image quality itself on the received rollers always leaves much to be desired. And of course, it is impossible not to mention another "find" - a photographing mode, in which the camera not only makes a few snapshots, but also glues them into a whole microorolic that can capture some short event in motion. This is not a standard video shooting mode, but a little different, even another resolution of the micromarolics obtained (1920 × 1088, and not 1920 × 1080, as with a normal video in Full HD). In principle, there is nothing special in this mode - probably, in such cases it would be possible to quite do the usual video. In addition, such a format is not unique: at Samsung Galaxy S4 presentations demonstrate exactly the same mode capable of capturing short events in motion - dance pirouette, for example. But for some reason, the developers in HTC decided to make a strong accent on it, allocated a separate button in this mode at the most prominent screen location and even gave the mode their own unique name: zoe. As for the settings for the camera management, they are somehow unusually assembled in a single long tape, in which you need to open the subparagraphs you are interested in. At first it confuses a little, but then you get used to it. It is curious that there is no point to change the permission of the obtained photographs here, the shooting is carried out only in one resolution. True, there is the possibility of "trimming" under the different aspect ratio. The settings also have the ability to bind the geometers, adding graphic effects, inclusion of face recognition, smiles, panoramic shooting and, of course, manual exposure settings, white balance, etc. The shutter sound can be disabled. You can also display the grid that is convenient.

A separate hardware key on the side of the camera control device at HTC One is not provided. Examine the shutter of the camera using the volume control key here too, although it is often practiced in smartphones of other firms. Here, this key and in shooting mode, everything also continues to adjust the sound volume level, which is frankly surprising. From positive moments, you can note the possibility of shooting a photo during video recording, there is also a full-time framework.

Conclusions for camera features for shooting photos:

The camera is not bad for everyday shooting, designed to capture interesting moments or important information. Of the advantages, you can highlight a good exposure selection program, as well as an interesting implementation of macro photography. Significant disadvantage - low camera resolution. It is really good, but still the main task of the smartphone camera is rather a documentary shooting than artistic. And here the HTC One is almost three times losing the top smartphones of competitors. On the other hand, it boasts good sharpness compared to some smartphones whose manufacturers do not believe that a large number of pixels on the matrix are a big responsibility.

In comparison with LG Nexus 4, the HTC One smartphone loses only in resolution. The sharpness around the edges of Nexus falls, but not much. LG Optimus G, in turn, loses HTC ONE on the operation of the exposure selection program. In places and the sharpness of him leaves much to be desired, despite the resolution of 13 megapixels. The same can be said about Sony Xperia Z, the optics of which is clearly weak for such a "big" matrix. But the camera on the smartphone oppo Find 5 is very worthy: there is practically no drop in sharpness to the edges of the picture, and in general, the sharpness of the picture is good. Not bad and exposure selection. However, it has geometric distortion, characteristic of all listed smartphones, as a result of the use of a wide-angle lens. Also well copes with the photographing of Samsung Galaxy S4, although it is somewhat inferior to OPPO Find 5. Apparently, all manufacturers have almost managed to defeat chromatic aberrations and "white contours". In fact, in this general comparison of HTC One lacks only a large permission, so that it can be rightfully called its camera one of the best among top smartphones.

Recall that from a large permission, the company refused to consciously using the standard size of a matrix with a relatively small number of pixels. That is, the linear size of the lighting elements here is relatively large that at least a reduced level of noise should be provided with such matrix. And in practice, we really see that the htc single shots are definitely won. However, if you reduce up to 4 megapixel snapshot of the same OPPO FIND 5, then in detail and noise it will not be worse, and perhaps even better than the HTC One option. It is no secret that good old chambers with a 4-5 MP matrix have been cleaned cleaned than early chambers with 12 meters. Now, at the expense of software processing, manufacturers are trying to achieve the same purity with greater resolution. HTC went on the opposite way, trying to win with a smaller resolution. The experiment is very interesting, but from the series "New - this is well forgotten old." However, we note also that it is impossible to objectively to estimate the noise and detail of the smartphone on the field snapshots (or rather, it is very difficult). In a good way, the shooting is required in a specially prepared premises, and we are absolutely not sure that our readers will be interested in these technical details in the applied to the smartphone chamber. Returning to the "Custom" level, we can give such an assessment: the best quality of HTC images succeeded, but the quality is manifested in the "beauty" of the artistic picture, and not in the detail of the documentary. With all its dislike for a large number of pixels on the matrix, we believe that HTC is not quite true, since for the flagship smartphone 4 MP is too small - in any case, for those areas where the smartphone is usually used. Removes this camera better than 5 megapixel cameras on past HTC smartphones, so it cost them at least 6 megapixel.

In conclusion, we can say that the HTC One chamber is well suited for shooting artistic plots, which do not need to look at small details.

Software

HTC One works at the moment on the Google Android version 4.1.2 software platform. On top of the standard OS interface, the company installed the shell of its own manufacture, wearing the name of HTC Sense 5. The shell has undergone significant changes compared to previous versions. It is completely redistributed here everything from the color schemes and the general organization of the desktop to strange, elongated in the height of fonts.

It is curious that the menu of programs in HTC One completely unexpectedly scrolls not horizontally, like everyone else, and vertically. It is so unusual for users who have already had experience to communicate with the Android system, which without tips they cannot figure out that it is necessary to flip vertically. Perhaps someone will seem more convenient for someone, but those who I asked, such changes are not too glad.

The default application menu itself looks like "loose" - the program icons will take one from the other at a considerable distance. However, the application icon matrix can be done denser by changing the mesh configuration with 3 × 4 to 4 × 5 in the settings. The settings buttons for change, sorting and searching on the program menu are not originally visible - they must be called, additionally, pulling down the work screen, which is not quite familiar.

But the most notable innovation here sees HTC Blinkfeed. It is an independent service, built directly to the home screen - a sort of widget on the desktop that cannot be removed. It is a live ribbon constantly updating events, whether it is news from sites, social activity of friends, annexes of events and the like. According to representatives of the company, HTC, Blinkfeed combines current content from various sources, which is collected and recycled on the company servers, and then issued in the tape. The figure of 10 thousand articles is voiced, daily coming from more than 1,400 media sources from around the world. According to the developers, all the most necessary and significant user can now reach in one glance without switching between all sorts of programs and websites. Content tape is divided into sections, and the owner of the NTS ONE smartphone is free to choose what themes he wants to receive updates of information in the Blinkfeed tape. The problem is different: the user cannot independently connect other sources here, which are initially not included in the list of HTC servers for the BlinkFeed service. That is, the user can choose only in the limited choice of HTC the limits. To move from viewing BlinkFeed to the desktop you need to perform horizontal wave across the screen - then the application menu opens.

Pre-installed programs are not very much. Some of them, such as a package for working with office documents Polaris Office or flashlight, may be useful. Moreover, office programs, for example, here allow not only to open the familiar Word documents, Excel and PowerPoint, but also to edit and save them. There is even a curious service called Rescue, with which it is assumed to be used by the user can receive remote technical support from the company's specialists. We are impressed by the desire to reflect the appearance of the application menu: as soon as Google added the ability to create folders for icons, the manufacturers immediately began to gently spread those on topics.

But, unfortunately, branded applications installed in HTC One do not work in our country. Where do not press (HTC Watch, HTC TB ...) - programs report that they do not support our region, although competently translated into Russian: Russia is simply absent in the list of countries.

HTC One unexpectedly much attention is paid to the "Children's Question". A separate service is built into the smartphone, which allows you to close access to important settings from children, and this mode is even deposited in the menu when rebooting with a separate item. Obviously, it may be useful to someone, although in our time it can be easier to buy a child's own inexpensive electronic toy than to trust such a dear parental apparatus.

Telephone part and communication

The radio cavity of the HTC One smartphone is stable, random loss of signal and falling out of the network operator has not been observed. The screen is large, drawing the keys, numbers and letters of the number dialing and the virtual keyboard for a set of SMS messages are quite convenient. In HTC One, much attention is paid to information entry methods, there is a complete possibility of entering the route, and even a complete tutorial on the theme "how easier to print" has been drawn up.

Having freezes, reboots and spontaneous discs during testing was not observed. The phone is convenient to overload using a menu that pops up for a long-term power button. When submission to the ear, the screen is blocked by the approximation sensor. The illumination sensor controls the screen brightness level in automatic mode. There is a convenient LED indicator of events, which is not built in the most common way: the indicator does not have its own "window", but shines directly through the holes of the upper dynamics lattice.

The device is equipped with modern network interfaces and wireless communication modules: Bluetooth version 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a / AC / B / G / N (this is the first announcement machine with 802.11ac support!), There is support for Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and the ability to organize Access points Wi-Fi. The Micro-USB connector supports MHL and OTG modes: a 32-gigabyte flash drive, connected to the device through an adapter, perfectly recognized and mounted as a separate storage. As for MHL, this mode is tested in detail by us in the video playback section.

We separately test the new Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard, the support of which is declared in HTC One. Testing was carried out with the ASUS RT-AC66U router - one of two models with the support of 802.11ac standards present in the local market. Recall that this new version of the standard works only in the 5 GHz range and provides an increase in speed more than twice as compared with 802.11n. In the case of smartphones, only one antenna is most often used, so the compound speeds in this case can be a maximum of 150 Mbps for 802.11n and 433 Mbps for 802.11ac. Real performance is usually about two times less. In addition, many mobile devices do not even support the two-channel operation mode, which leads to a limitation at 72 Mbps for 802.11n.

Despite the declared support for 802.11a / B / G / N / AC, we managed to obtain from the device only the connection on the 54 Mbps velocity characteristic for 802.11g. At the same time, real performance amounted to a little more than 20 Mbps. We have made a lot of effort to set up the router, but see the range of 5 GHz smartphone failed, so 802.11ac test tests were not carried out. Most likely, the situation is due to the use of pre-sale sample. If possible, we will definitely return to this issue later.

HTC ONE has and support for NFC - wireless high-frequency communication technology of a small radius of action, which makes it possible to exchange data between devices located at a distance of about 10 centimeters. This technology is aimed primarily to use in mobile phones and payment terminals, and in some countries it is already used for contactless payments, fare in public transport or even identification of personality. In our country, NFC has not yet been widespread, but now the user of a smartphone supporting this technology can try it in action. We compared the HTC One hardware performance in various popular tests with the performance of the other top modern smartphones tested. Most of them, by the way, are built on the most previous Snapdragon S4 Pro platform, which was mentioned above. Therefore, a fully expected device based on the new Snapdragon 600 turned out to be the results of tests on advanced positions in comparison with competitors. HTC One demonstrated very high performance results, put in one row with Samsung Galaxy S4 and leaving behind the remaining top smartphones of modernity, such as Google Nexus 4, LG Optimus G, HTC One X + and Samsung Galaxy Note II. We give summary data with comparing the results based on the Antutu test. Our own data differ slightly from these, but the overall alignment of forces is clearly clear.

Below are the results of the HTC One test in the new version of Glbenchmark - 2.7.0, where a new T-REX HD scene has been added in high complexity. As we remember, even such a powerful system, like OPPO FIND 5, issued only 13 FPS in this test. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 platform in HTC One coped with this complex test better, but very slightly slightly - 15 FPS.

Play video and connection to the external screen

To test "omnivities" when playing video (including support for various codecs, containers and special capabilities, such as subtitles), we used the most common formats that constitute the bulk of the content available on the content network. Note that for mobile devices it is important to have the support of hardware decoding of videos at the chip level, since to process modern options due to the processor nuclei are most often impossible. Additionally, the MHL interface was tested. To test it, we used the LG IPS237L monitor that supports a direct MHL connection using a passive adapter cable from the Micro-USB connector on HDMI. In this case, the conclusion on MHL is carried out in a resolution of 1920 to 1080 pixels with a frequency of 30 frames / s. The display on the monitor screen during the portrait orientation of the smartphone screen is carried out in portrait orientation only if the current program does not support the landscape orientation, while the image height is slightly less than the height of the display area, and the right and on the left are black fields. In all other cases, regardless of the orientation of the smartphone, the image on its screen and on the monitor screen is forcibly displayed in the landscape orientation. Unfortunately, the image on the monitor is displayed in a slightly reduced form so that black stripes remain around the perimeter. Opportunities to disable such a conclusion apparently not. As a result, the actual resolution on the monitor screen is lower than on the screen of the smartphone itself, that is, less than Full HD. The sound on MHL is displayed (in this case, the sounds were heard through the headphones connected to the monitor, since there are no loudspeakers in the monitor) and it has good quality. At the same time, at least multimedia sounds through the loudspeaker of the smartphone itself are not displayed, and the volume is adjusted by the buttons on the smartphone housing. A special description deserves video tools for the staff player. Only one file is played perfectly - 1280 × 720 at 60 frame / s, in all other cases, the intervals between frames alternate unevenly, in one case a small part of frames is skipped, and 1080p files from 60 frame / s are not played. However, in addition to these two cases, artifacts are visually noticed. Note that uniform alternation of frames, if it is, it is still a relatively unstable state, since some external and internal background processes lead to a periodic failure of the correct interval between frames. When playing video files with Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) on the smartphone screen, the image of the video file is output one-in-one, exactly along the screen border in the true resolution of Full HD. The brightness range displayed on the screen does not match the original - in the shadows of three or four shades of gray are indistinguishable from black, but all gradations are displayed in the lights (for video in the range of 16-235). It is impossible not to note the relatively good - loud and good in quality - stereo sound, which create two spaced loudspeakers of this smartphone. As a result, it is not necessary to wear headphones to view the cinema, if, of course, the sound does not prevent others.

With the MHL connected monitor when playing a video full-time player, a picture of the video file is displayed both on the smartphone screen and on the connected monitor, but information elements and virtual controls are displayed only on the smartphone screen. When playing video files with Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) due to the unconnected, as noted above, overskana The actual image resolution on the monitor screen is somewhat less than the permission of Full HD. The brightness range displayed on the monitor corresponds to the original - in the lights and in the shadows displays all gradations of shades (for video in the range of 16-235). The quality of the output is low, since the intervals between frames (or between groups of personnel) alternate unevenly, and in some cases frames are skipped.

Additionally, the video output was tested (a regular player) on MHL with the use of a MHL adapter. When using this adapter, the output to the monitor was carried out in 720p mode at 60 frames / s, which determined the maximum actual image resolution. With the exception of the permission and frequency of frames, everything else is the nature of the interface output, recharging, the sound of sound and the gray scale - did not differ from direct connection via MHL. Test results are shown in the table above in the MHL (adapter) block. The output is similar - the quality of the output is low.

As a result, it turns out that the implementation of the MHL interface in the HTC One smartphone has a number of serious flaws. However, this type of connection can be used in principle for games, viewing movies, the withdrawal of web pages, etc., but it will be necessary to respen with a decrease in the actual permit and with periodic twitching of the picture when the dynamic image is derived.
