The obsession with DPS leads users to think about uninstalling DriverPack Solution completely, so as not to receive pop-up windows and prompts to install software. Each new version goes deeper, encrypting it under Windows OS files. Therefore, it is difficult to remove the software completely, but it is possible. Let's look at ways to uninstall DPS.

Navigation

Removing DriverPack using Windows

Old versions of DriverPack Solution can be removed from the computer like other programs - using Windows tools.

The trick of the new versions of DriverPack is that it is impossible to find a mention of the program in the uninstall list. This was originally conceived by the developers of the utility. The latest updates were aimed at leaving traces, so software activity does not stop after uninstallation.

How to uninstall a program using the utility

You can completely remove DriverPack Solution from your computer using third-party utilities. The main thing is not to download the products that DPS offers, since they are not eliminated along with it.

CCleaner is considered a reliable way to remove programs and clean up the operating system from garbage. Others will do: IObit Uninstaller, Ashampoo Uninstaller.

New versions of DriverPack are not tracked by the proposed utility.

Up-to-date instructions for outdated software options:

  1. CCleaner starts up.
  2. On the "Service" tab, "Remove Programs" is selected.
  3. In the list that appears, find DriverPack and other company software products.
  4. Click the Delete button on the right side of the window.

For complete removal, the registry is cleaned. The feature is also featured in CCleaner.

With the help of this action, files left over from the work of the software are removed from the computer.

  1. The "Registry" tab is selected.
  2. Next, the computer is scanned - to do this, click "Search for problems".
  3. When finished, click Fix Problems.

Repeat the procedure regularly as new debris appears on the computer. The latest versions of DriverPack Solution are not removed in this way, so you need to use the most radical one.

DriverPack is not removed - solution

Radical methods of cleaning the computer from the program are associated with the ability to roll back the system days or weeks ago. For this, methods are used, each of which has a number of undesirable consequences. Therefore, you need to think and evaluate how much you need to remove DriverPack.

Recovery point

The moment set in the schedule fixes the point, keeping the operating system settings.

This setting is provided by Windows developers and does not require user modification. A rollback point is also created when installing new programs, making significant changes. If DriverPack was downloaded to the computer last and no action was taken afterwards, then it will not be difficult to uninstall the software without consequences.

The rollback lasts from 20 minutes to an hour. It all depends on the performance of the PC. Move important files created after the point was fixed to removable keepers or cloud services, as they will be deleted.

The initial state

To completely uninstall DriverPack Solution, you can roll back your computer to its original state (Windows 10). The function is not available on other OS versions.

The method is relevant in cases where the point was not created or did not help in fixing the problem.

Instructions:

  1. In the search bar in Start, write "Recovery". On Windows 10, the user is provided with the function "Reset the computer to its original state".
  2. After selection, you need to go to the "Recovery" tab and click "Start".
  3. Reverting requires selecting a deletion option. Either all information is erased from the computer, or the account and all files remain in the "Pictures" folders and the like.
  4. If the first option is selected, then it remains to click "Reset". When choosing the second, the user is asked a security question about what exactly he wants to delete.

All important files are deleted from the computer, there is a possibility of damage to the PC if the installation of Windows is interrupted. Therefore, it is not recommended to take any action until the recovery is complete.

Reinstall Windows

Windows versions prior to 10 do not allow the system to be reset. Therefore, in order to uninstall DriverPack, you will need to reinstall the software. It is better to purchase a licensed version of the operating system, as this will exclude possible problems from installing pirated software.

Why uninstall DriverPack

Some users want to uninstall the program because it behaves like a virus. This is often signaled by the appropriate PC security utilities.

DPS is a program designed to update drivers, used once a month or constantly. You can uninstall DriverPack Solution from your computer immediately after reinstalling the auxiliary software.

To avoid having to reinstall the entire OS, download old versions of the program. If you roll back the system, no driver updates will occur. DriverPack does an excellent job of updating auxiliary software. However, the desire of developers to make money leads to negative feedback from users who are trying to get rid of the software by any means.

Hello everyone. Our guest is the DriverPack Cloud program, I noticed it in the Start menu, I have Windows 10. I wondered what it was. I started digging on the Internet. I found the official website, I read it, it says that DriverPack Cloud is some kind of new product that allows you to identify critical Windows errors, knows how to predict computer malfunctions, and knows how to solve popular problems. The functionality of the program is constantly improving. I don't know what to tell you, I only know one thing, I've already seen such programs more than once ...

Although, in general, for the developers of DriverPack Cloud, the main program is DriverPack Solution. What is DriverPack Solution? I’ll say right away I don’t like such programs, I have never used them. But I only know one thing that the DriverPack Solution program is very popular, a lot of people use it, it is needed to automatically search for and install drivers on devices. That is, as a useful program. But I put one driver only, I mean on the sound card, and Windows itself already installs all the other firewood. Therefore, as a bae DriverPack Solution, in principle, I do not need it, but this is for me, and many praise it and I think for a reason. So, okay, enough….

Guys, the article turned out to be mega large. For firstly, I myself was wondering what kind of DriverPack Cloud program it was. Secondly, I was interested in how much it takes roots in the system, I also tried to find out. And thirdly, I showed you how to remove it and manually clean the system from residues.

So, okay, now let's start this kind of investigation. So I opened the Start menu and here I have DriverPack Cloud, see:

I launched this program, but there was no reaction. Then I looked in the tray and I see the DriverPack Cloud icon there:

That is, it was already running like a blah. I right-clicked on the icon and selected Show main screen:

After that, this window left on the right (I don't know if I'm normal or not, but I was even a little scared):

There are some problems in this window, and the program offers solutions for them. When you press the Solution button, it shows how to solve the problem. When I clicked on the button in the upper left corner, there was the Launch DriverPack Online item:

I pressed it, I wondered what it was. As a result, such a window appeared and it began to prepare for launch there:

Nothing was done. When I pressed the button in the upper right corner, three sticks, the following menu appeared:

Here you can create a restore point, make a backup copy of drivers, there is an item to uninstall programs, and the rest .. In principle, not bad. Then I clicked on the cross or something, I myself did not understand what I clicked, but such a window appeared:

In general, I also looked there, there is a section for recommended programs:

There is a section where you can remove unwanted software:

There is a system diagnostics:

And there is also a section that says that you can play top games even on a weak PC:

Fantastic? No, absolutely not. I don't know what it is, I'm not very interested. But this is only possible in one case. There is such a technology that, as if you were playing on your PC, but the game itself does not work for you, but on the server, and only the image is transmitted to you. Everything is thought out in terms of lags, there are almost no lags, but then how lucky. Oh, I forgot, all this is not free as far as I remember, and it is not so cheap as a blah ...

Well, here are the settings of the program:

Okay, okay. In principle, it is understandable. DriverPack Cloud is a type of program that can help make the computer faster, remove unnecessary programs, clean the computer (this was suggested in the very first section) and something else .. =)

I didn't close DriverPack Cloud, I just minimized and opened the Task Manager:

In the manager, where the Name column is, I found Software and Drivers, right-clicked and selected Details:

Well, then I saw what, in principle, I expected, this is a whole gang of processes from DriverPack:

Well, the gang =) For interest, I looked where they are launched from. So, the DriverPack-17-Online.exe process was launched from this folder:

C: \ Users \ Dima \ AppData \ Local \ Temp

DriverPack.exe process from this:

C: \ Users \ Dima \ AppData \ Local \ Temp \ 7ZipSfx.000

DriverPackCloud.exe from here:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ DriverPack Cloud

And in principle I thought everything .. But it turns out that the second process DriverPackCloud.exe was launched from another folder, namely from here:

C: \ Users \ Dima \ AppData \ Roaming \ DriverPack Cloud \ updates \ v17.8.12-1ccbd16

But you know what? That's not all guys ... I opened the Startup tab, and there is this Software and Drivers, but this thing launches other things:

Hmm, well interesting .. I personally don't know why it launches Conhost, Microsoft (R) HTML application (mshta.exe), Windows Command Processor (cmd.exe).

Okay, okay. What else? I thought everything ... But I decided to open services ... But I did not find anything there, even a little strange. Maybe you looked badly? If interested, you can also look, to do this, hold down Win + R, the Run window will appear, paste the command there:

Then a list of services will open, look there, maybe I was inattentive and did not find ... = (

So what else? Hmm, let me think. What else did I forget to look before starting to talk about the deletion .. Yeah, I remembered. I opened the CCleaner program, went to autoload, there I looked and see that when the computer starts, it is clear that DriverPackCloud.exe starts up:

But then I also looked at the Scheduled Tasks tab and saw five tasks from DriverPack there (they can be found in the scheduler> Win + R> taskschd.msc> Task Scheduler Library):

If you drag the lower scroll bar to the right, then you will see under which process this or that task is running. If you want to find more interesting things, then check this box:

Then it will be generally cheerful. Here is such a program CCleaner .. will help you find out about everything on your computer, for real detectives!

Chapter two: how to remove DriverPack Cloud completely from your computer and remove all traces

Guys, now let's start the second part. I will show you how to remove DriverPack Cloud completely, how to find its remnants and remove them too. Well guys, let's start? The first thing to do is to exit the DriverPack Cloud program and right-click on the icon in the tray and select the Exit item there:

So, now we hold down the Win + R buttons, a window will appear, we throw the command there:

Click OK, after which a standard tool for uninstalling programs will appear, this is the Programs and Features window. Find DriverPack Cloud here, right-click and select Uninstall:

Then something will be written there, there will be a Leave DriverPack Cloud button, but you click Delete at the bottom:

After that, there was no action. Apparently it is quietly so removed without any windows. Okay, okay, what's next? And then here's what, right-click on the Start icon, select the Explorer item:

Then I open the system drive C, and in the upper right corner I write the word DriverPack and start waiting (to find all the garbage, check that you have enabled the display of hidden files):

IMPORTANT! So guys, I'm looking for garbage by the word DriverPack, because I don't need anything at all related to DriverPack, you know? If you have DriverPack Solution, and you want to delete only the remnants of DriverPack Cloud, then look for garbage by this full name of the program, that is, look not by DriverPack, but by DriverPack Cloud! I hope I explained it clearly ...

So guys, in Windows itself there are technologies for finding leftovers. I had to wait a little while the search was over. In the end, this is what was found:

I scrolled to the end so that they could see everything:

When I saw it all, do you know what I did? I looked in the tray, there are no icons there? I looked in the Programs and Features window, is there a DriverPack Cloud program there? It seemed to me that I did not delete it…. Okay, now what do you need to do then? Now guys, all this stuff needs to be removed in an amicable way, and if it does not want to, it will have to be done in a bad way ...

IMPORTANT! The word DriverPack can also be in the name of a file / folder that does not belong to the DriverPack program at all. Well, you never know! Therefore, look carefully at what you are deleting! Or, to be calm, look not for DriverPack, but for DriverPack Cloud, then you definitely won't delete the excess, but there may be less garbage ....

So, I selected all the files and then right-clicked, chose Delete from the menu:

Such a window appeared, checked the box and clicked Continue:

Then a similar window appeared, like this:

But what does it say then? Writes that it was not possible to find the object, that there is no type of it. This is probably because the folder with this object has just been deleted. In short, it doesn't matter. I checked the box, clicked the Retry button, then the window appeared again, and then I ticked the box again and already clicked Skip =) And then what? Well, then I reopened the system drive and again looked for files by the word DriverPack, and here are the results:

See? This is how you guys should be!

So, now the second is garbage in the registry. We hold down the Win + R buttons, the Run window will pop up, we throw the command there:

Clicked OK, the registry editor opened =) Now about the search. It's the same here, you have the choice to either search by DriverPack or DriverPack Cloud. In the first case, there will probably be more, but in the second, do not delete the excess. I choose to search for the word DriverPack, I'll just carefully watch what I'm deleting, but I'll clean the computer well. Well, you already see for yourself how you feel better ... To start the search, hold down the Ctrl + F buttons, a window will appear, there I insert the word DriverPack and click Find Next:

It will begin to search. Now how to remove. You may have two types of data: a section and a parameter (well, or a key). Both the first and the second are deleted the same way, just right-click and select Delete. For example, I found a parameter, delete it:

Then there will still be such a message, well, like a confirmation, press shorter Yes:

If you find a parameter and there are any doubts, whether it is or not, well, if you are looking for the word DriverPack, then click on it twice and you will understand whether it is garbage or not. Look, I found such a parameter and I doubt it:

I double-clicked on it with the mouse and this is what is inside:

You see? There is a mention of DriverPack here, but in fact it does not apply to the program! Because it says not DriverPack, but DriverPackager, do you understand? This is what the joke may be, be careful!

Guys, I was looking .. looking .. I thought there was a section. But alas:

I did not find a section at all, such things. There was not so much garbage in principle =)

Guys, that's all, tell me honestly, I probably tired you a little, right? Well sorry. I am such a simple person, I love the computer and I love it to be clean. Good luck, happiness to you and take care of yourself, until we meet again!

Today we will look at:

Inexperienced PC users, due to a misunderstanding of how some things work in computers, very often ask the question: "What will happen if you remove it after installing the drivers and how to do it?" Today we will try to answer it in the most understandable and detailed form. Go!

Can DriverPack be uninstalled?

Some seriously think that if the drivers were installed through the Pak Solution Driver, then the removal of this utility will entail the complete destruction of all software that was installed with its help.

This is fundamentally a misconception, because the drivers themselves are not tied to any utility from where they were downloaded and installed. If you remove the Pak Solution Driver from your computer, then you just uninstall the application itself, from where the software was updated. The drivers themselves will not be affected, nor will the operating system.

How to remove the Pak Solution Driver

If you do not know how to completely remove the Pak Solution Driver, then you have to reassure you, because there is nothing complicated here.

Regardless of whether you used the online version or downloaded the offline distribution, removal is very simple:

  1. Open the place on the hard disk where the utility is stored: in the case of online versions, this is a single file; in the case of the offline version, the DriverPack folder.
  2. Click on a file or folder, right-click and select "Delete".
  3. Deleted files will be moved to the trash, where they can be permanently destroyed.

After these simple manipulations, the Pak Solution Driver program will be removed. Next, you can use a program like to remove all traces of Pak Solution Driver from your computer.

Congratulations! Now you know how to remove Pak Solution Driver from your computer completely.

DriverPack Solution and DriverPack Cloud- malicious programs distributed under the guise of a driver manager. In fact, they duplicate the functionality of the Windows operating system and do not bring any benefit to the user. The purpose of these programs is to display advertisements and impose the installation of other useless and malicious programs, for the distribution of which the authors of DriverPack receive money.

DriverPack infection methods

  1. Along with the necessary and useful programs... The installer of some programs builds in the DriverPack installation, which is difficult, if not impossible, to refuse. Do not download programs from questionable sites and always check all available installation options while the installer is running.
  2. Together with drivers on dubious sites. If you are looking for some rare driver and found it on a dubious site, most likely it will also come with DriverPack Solution, which will be installed when you install the driver and will not inform you about it in any way. Download drivers only from hardware manufacturers' websites.
  3. In pirated assemblies of Windows. If you downloaded and installed a pirated assembly of Windows from torrents, be prepared for the fact that the author of the assembly stuffed your new system with malware. Some do it for money, others just like that, out of ignorance.
  4. Your computer may have been “tuned” by a familiar “computer genius” and at the same time install malicious software. In my experience, these people often do not understand what they are doing, and their activities do more harm than good.

Why the program cannot be uninstalled in an easy way

The authors of DriverPack spend a lot of money in order to distribute their program to as many computers as possible, this is what their income depends on. When penetrating into another operating system, DriverPack behaves exactly the same as any virus- tries to gain a foothold in the system by any available means. It is registered in the registry and startup, creates services, creates executable files with names similar to the system ones, adds its own code to service files.

With each new version of the program, this mechanism is being improved and all the old removal instructions become completely useless.

Overview of ways to uninstall DriverPack

In this article I will describe all the removal methods that can be found on the Internet. All of them were tested by me on a specially created virtual machine with Windows 10, specially infected with DriverPack Solution and DriverPack Cloud. Some methods do not work, but I still talked about them so that you do not waste your time on unnecessary attempts.

Easy removal using Windows (very rarely helps)

If you are lucky and you got a very old version of DriverPack, then you can uninstall it using the usual Windows uninstallation program. All modern versions of DriverPack cannot be removed this way, the authors have taken care of this.

1. Open “Control Panel”, to do this, simultaneously press the Win R keys and write in the window:

2. Go to the section"Programs" => "Uninstall a program":

3. Find all programs in the list containing in the name "DriverPack", click on each with the right mouse button and select "Delete":

4. Restart your computer.

Note: Some versions of DriverPack Solution are not displayed in the list of installed programs, another gift from the authors of the program.

  • Aria-debug .log files - What are these? How to delete? How do you avoid taking up a lot of space?
  • Removing DriverPack using special programs (does not work)

Many sites offer to use their “unique” software-tools to remove DriverPack Solution. Unfortunately, these programs turn out to be just as useless and harmful as DriverPack itself. They will not delete it, but will only additionally infect your operating system themselves. The authors expect that if a person has already downloaded a viral program once, he will do it again and they will also be able to earn some money.

By the way, there are normal safe programs for cleaning Windows from garbage, but they can not help to remove DriverPack.

I have tried 5 of the most popular uninstallation programs:

    • Revo Uninstaller
    • Ashampoo Uninstaller
    • CCleaner
    • IObit Uninstaller
    • Advanced Uninstaller Pro

And none of them was able to uninstall the latest version of DriverPack Cloud. If for some reason you do not want to use the other methods described below, try these programs. Perhaps you have an old version of DriverPack installed and the uninstaller will help you.

Note: These programs cannot always be easily removed from the system, sometimes they behave exactly like DriverPack. And they are distributed in the same ways.

Rollback to Windows restore point (works)

Modern versions of Windows create restore points by default. The point is created either on a schedule or when major changes are made to the system configuration. If your system has not been “configured” after installation, you should have restore points enabled.

As with the previous method, before starting the recovery, I recommend backing up important files and documents to a USB flash drive, external drive or cloud storage.

Reverting to the original state of the system can take a long time and as a result you will get a completely clean system, not infected with any malware.

Reinstall Windows (older versions of Windows, works)

If you are using an old version of Windows (XP, Vista, 7 or 8), then you will have to do a complete reinstallation of the system. By the way, you have a good reason to finally switch to modern Windows 10, then this OS reinstallation will be the last for you.

The best option would be to buy a licensed version, in this case you will forget about any problems with your computer forever. The licensed version itself updates its components, drivers and has built-in anti-virus protection.

    Instead of a conclusion

After uninstalling DriverPack Solution or DriverPack Cloud, make sure that it is easier to restore your system the next time you experience a similar problem. Be sure to enable automatic creation of restore points and restrict access to your computer for unauthorized persons. If children or retirees use the computer, create accounts for them without administrator rights, then they will no longer be able to install malware and save you time and nerves.

The founder of DriverPack Solution, Artur Kuzyakov, receives over $ 1 million in net profit per year:

Protect your computer, follow the simplest computer security rules, be vigilant and careful when using the Internet. This is the only way not to fall prey to such businessmen.

I would be glad if you leave a comment on my article.
