And what's the fun in general? Well, I'll tell you, because suddenly you don't know. In short, this whole topic happened with Windows 8. Microsoft thought, thought, and decided that the Start menu would go to the forest in Windows 8! That is, a new Windows came out and there was no Start menu in it, like this. It is the Start menu that has always been there, to which all Windows users are accustomed, they decided to take this menu and remove it. Well, of course there was a flurry of discontent, well, in principle, it’s understandable
And of course, some programmers quickly fussed and quickly riveted a utility that returns the Start menu familiar to everyone. But you know what I like here? In short, I liked how all laptop manufacturers reacted to this. Some companies, in particular Lenovo, also created a utility to return the Start menu and they themselves installed it on Windows 8, and a brand new laptop came not only with Windows 8, but already bundled with such a utility! That is, it turns out that even manufacturers have switched to the side of users, it is interesting that Microsoft was happy with this fact, or not very much ... ?
Well, in general, okay, now let's look at this StartIsBack utility itself. How the utility itself works, I will show it in Windows 10, because I did not install Windows 8 on a test computer, I hope that there is nothing wrong with that. I may have written a little wrong, the StartIsBack utility does not just return the Start menu, but returns exactly what was in Windows 7, after all, the usual Start menu

Well, Windows 8 is running StartIsBack 2.1.2, Windows 8.1 is running version 1.7.5, and Windows 10 is running version 1.3.3! But it is clear that in the future these versions will be different, well, that is, newer. This I just mean that if in the future you decide to download this program, then check that it is suitable for your version of Windows!
Let's go back to the menu. Well, what can I say. I personally really like this menu, of course it's not exactly the same as in Windows 7, but it looks good! So, now I looked in the task manager, well, to find out under which process the StartIsBack program is running. But alas, there is no process at all. I searched and didn't find it! Apparently the program somehow very competently embeds a new Start menu! That's how things are guys
In general, I like everything, the StartIsBack program really does its job and at the same time is of high quality. The Start menu, although not the same as in Windows 7, is very similar and, as it were, made in such a style that it looks harmonious, stylish, so to speak.
In general, what kind of StartIsBack program is, I think you already understood. Now I will show how to remove it, but this is so, only if you are sure that you do not need this program. If you have Windows 10, then after uninstalling, you will return to the usual menu. Well, if Windows 8, then after removal it will not exist at all. I don’t remember exactly how that Metro start screen opens there, but it’s definitely not very convenient to use.
So look, I'll show you how to remove a program in Windows 10, but in Windows 8 or Windows 7 I think it's almost the same
But in general, you can remove it in an advanced way, this is with the help of a remover! He will not only delete the program, but also clean Windows from the remnants of the program. In general, the remover is suitable, I use it myself, if you wish, you can get to know him
So hold down the Win + R buttons and write the following command there:

Now a window will appear with all the installed software that you have, here you need to find the StartIsBack ++ program, right-click on it and select Delete:
Then, personally, I got a black screen on the whole screen, it was about two seconds, this is probably due to changes in the Windows shell. Well, that is, it returns the standard Start menu in Windows 10. When everything returned back, the Programs and Features window was gone. I opened it again, well, to check whether the StartIsBack program was really deleted, checked it, and yes, it was gone.
