In this article we will look at installing and using the free Desktopmania program, which allows you to conveniently set beautiful wallpapers for your desktop, for any computer screen resolution!
Spending a lot of time at the computer, each user may have a desire to somehow decorate their desktop in order to periodically take a little break from work and admire beautiful images (desktop wallpapers).
In order to set beautiful wallpaper for your desktop, you can, of course, use the standard Windows tool, i.e. right-click on the desktop and select Properties-> Desktop and change your desktop background.
But there is an additional condition for this: you need to already have beautiful suitable photographs or pictures on your computer to place them on your desktop.
Finding beautiful wallpapers for your desktop is now not at all difficult. In any search engine, you can simply enter the search query: beautiful wallpapers for your desktop and get many sites and services from which you can quickly and conveniently download suitable pictures to your computer.
But, there are also additional programs that make it even more convenient to place beautiful wallpapers on your desktop. We will look at one of these free programs, called Desktopmania, in this article.
Briefly about the Desktopmania program
The advantage of the Desktopmania program is that it automatically adjusts the image to the size of the user's computer screen, i.e. the image will always be displayed correctly and beautifully on any computer. This is indeed a very big plus in favor of using this particular program.
Desktopmania also provides a large selection of available desktop wallpapers, divided into many categories, which allows any user to find the right wallpaper for themselves.
Well, the additional settings of the Desktopmania program make it possible to change the wallpaper in one click, as well as display their alternation, for example, so that they change one for every day.
Downloading and installing Desktopmania
To download the Desktopmania program, go to the official website of this program, select any image you like, hover the mouse cursor over it and click on the button in the enlarged image Set it on your table:
The program will be downloaded to your computer (Desktopmania weighs only about 4 MB). Find the downloaded file and run it:
In the first installation window you will be asked to select the installation type: with or without Yandex elements. For example, I’m more accustomed to using Google services, so I put the option Settings and uncheck all the boxes (these settings do not affect the operation of the program itself).
If you need these Yandex elements, you can leave them and install them, but the use of these elements is information for a separate article, so we will not consider them in this case.
Click Install:
OK it's all over Now! All you have to do is click on Complete:
After pressing the button Complete the program itself will start Desktopmania for the first time. And in the future the program can be launched through the menu Start -> All programs -> Desktopmania as shown in the picture:
How to use Desktopmania
After installation, the wallpaper selected when downloading the program will already be installed on your desktop:
And in the program interface Desktopmania there are several possibilities. Let's look at them in a little more detail:
1. You can choose from which category and which section of the service Desktopmania.ru download wallpaper for your desktop. There are many categories here: 3D, animation, cities, sports, films, children, food, animals, music, funny, nature and others.
2. By registering on the service website Desktopmania.ru You can mark your favorite wallpapers as favorites and then display them on your computer’s desktop through the program. The only thing you need to do is register (for free) on the website of this service.
3. If you want to use your own wallpaper for your desktop, then in the program settings you can specify the folder where the program can get the wallpaper from.
4. You can choose how to change the wallpaper on your desktop. Firstly, you can specify not to change, i.e. I uploaded one and let it be one for now. Secondly, you can choose to change the wallpaper every time you restart your computer. And thirdly, you can set the wallpaper to change every month, week, day, or even every few hours!
5. Using a button Next picture, you can change the wallpaper on your desktop right away. In this case, the wallpaper will change in accordance with where the program gets the wallpaper from: from the specified category of the site, from favorites, or from the specified folder on the computer.
As you can see, everything is very simple and intuitive. The only thing is don’t forget to press the button Save, if we make any changes in the settings.
also in Taskbars the running program is displayed as a DM icon. If you right-click on it, an additional menu will appear in which, for example, you can select the following picture (similar to the item 5 , described above), or exit the program (the desktop wallpaper will remain).
